“The Long Road Home” was painted with oil pastels on cardboard and it is one of my favourite older pieces.
It’s always been a reflection of life’s journey… the ups, the downs, and the quiet in betweens. It’s timeless and ever changing.
Maybe that’s why I love being out here now on these long winding roads, surrounded by open paddocks, wide skies, and stillness. There’s something sacred in the stretch of country space, a learning ground, a reminder that every road teaches us something if we let it.
It truly speaks as that famous song says; “country road take me home”
