Journal Prompt: Writing about a time when waiting shaped me

Journal prompts open my heart to deeper truths and insights and it was after praying my rosary that today’s prompt spoke:

In the long hours of waiting,

I was shaped ~ resilience pressed into my bones,

patience woven into my every breath,

self awareness unfolding in the quiet.

Waiting was never passive,

but a tender practice of surrender

a learning to rest in what I could not control,

a trust in something greater than myself.

And in that surrender, character was formed,

humility deepened, desires aligned with a purpose

far larger than my own.

Now, when waiting comes,

I remember: all shall be well,

and all shall be so.

And so it is with this piece of scripture all the waiting that I have felt , lets me continue:

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.”
— Isaiah 40:31

And so in finishing up, I leave you with these words Waiting is not wasted ~ it is the soil where faith grows, and the place where surrender

finds its strength.

Journal Question For You:

What does waiting teach you about surrender and trust in a timing greater than your own ~ use the scripture from Isaiah 40:31 and my words to prompt you or simply scribble what truly speaks to you.

In the waiting, we learn and we grow.
