On Being Found by One Another

Dear friends,
Lately, I’ve become aware of how many of you are finding your way here and how many are returning.
From South Africa, across towns and cities I may never walk myself, yet feel drawn toward through shared attention and quiet presence.
From the east and west coasts of the United States.
From the UK and Ireland.
From Germany, Norway, Poland, Russia, Albania.
From my own wide and faithful Australia especially the outback and rural places that know how to stay.
What moves me most is not simply that you arrive, but that you come back.
Day after day.
Town by town.
As if something here feels familiar enough to revisit.
This space was never created to gather crowds.
It was shaped slowly through art, prayer, words, land, memory, and the long work of becoming attentive to what gives light.
To discover that it is being wandered through by so many, from so many places, feels less like being visited and more like being found by one another.
I believe there are unseen threads that draw us together.
Shared histories of endurance.
Faith carried quietly.
The language of land and weather.
The making of beauty where life has not always been easy.
A longing for spaces that do not rush or demand.
If you are here for the first time, you are welcome to wander slowly.
If you have returned, thank you for trusting this place with your presence again.
You do not need to announce yourself, explain yourself, or stay longer than you wish.
May this studio be a resting place rather than a destination.
May it offer light without spectacle.
May what is made and shared here meet you gently, wherever you are reading from.
Across distance and difference, may we continue to find one another quietly, faithfully, and in our own time.
With gratitude,
Lisa Raie
