Six Years of Grace with Kitty’s Morning Glories A Personal Reflection of Gratitude from Australia

From late at night in Australia to morning in America, six years ago, a global spiritual family began to take shape~ a beautiful gift made possible through the witness of Kitty Cleveland.

This weekend, the community gathers for a special anniversary retreat, and my heart is overflowing with gratitude as I await the time to join them online.

For six years, this group has been a spiritual anchor for me, bridging thousands of miles from the United States all the way to my home in Australia.

Each night, as Kitty and hundreds of members wake to begin their day in America, the clock here in Australia is winding down. For me, this time has become a nightly vigil.

As the world grows quiet, I log on to pray.

The Sacred Routine : the Unity Prayer, the Angelus, the Scriptural Rosary, the Daily Gospel, and the profound Surrender Novena has transformed my evenings. What might otherwise have been a lonely part of the day becomes a vibrant, shared offering of love and faith.

Why This Holy Hour Has Become a Global Anchor

I think the beauty of this holy hour begins with Kitty’s witness. Praying with her is something quite unique. Her spontaneous meditations, gentle guidance and musical gifts have a way of making the mysteries of the Rosary come alive in a deeply personal way.

But the grace also lives within the community.

There is something profoundly comforting about knowing that, across the world, hundreds of people are gathering to pray together.

When we place our intentions into the chat, we entrust our deepest hurts, our joys, our families and the things we carry quietly to a family of prayer warriors who genuinely carry them with us to the foot of the Cross.

That sense of being held in prayer has become a precious gift.

These six years have also taught me a deeper and very important radical trust in the Catholic faith into which I was baptised as an infant.

The Unity Prayer and the Surrender Novena have taught me something of what it truly means to surrender everything to Jesus not simply in words, but in the quiet practice of placing each day, each worry and each person I love into His hands.

And there is something beautiful about praying together across continents.

In those moments, I am reminded of the communion of saints and that mysterious and beautiful reality of the Church united in prayer, even when we are separated by oceans, time zones and circumstances.

The rhythm of the Angelus and the Rosary has become an anchor at the end of my day. It settles my heart, draws me back into the presence of God, and allows me to enter the night with a deep sense of peace.

And so I say a heartfelt thank you to Kitty and to the Morning Glories community.

Thank you for your witness.

Thank you for your consistency.

Thank you for your prayers.

Thank you for creating a place where someone on the other side of the world can quietly log on at night and know that she is not praying alone.

Tonight, as I stay up past midnight here in Australia to join the sixth special anniversary retreat through the private link, I will be offering my prayers in deep thanksgiving for all of you.

Six years.

Six years of prayer.

Six years of surrender.

Six years of finding, again and again, that faith can cross oceans.
