Sketching faces has and still teaches me about honesty in portraying what emerges through lines, shade. Faces challenge me to look through Gods eyes and see more than what the world sees.

Being able to practice sketching human figures, I have been able to find a greater level of perspective in shape and form - knowing better what I want to show and what i want to hide.
Self Portrait
Self portraiture has allowed me to invite a deeper internal honesty through gentle observation and creative reflection about where my strength lies through shade and shape.
