A Place for You Here

The studio journal pages haven’t been filling quite as frequently as normal - but today a threshold moment

marks the beginning of something that has been quietly forming within me for a long time.

And so I share with you all;

“The Quiet Company We Keep” podcast was created through a growing awareness that the lives of those who came before us continue to shape the way we move through the world now.

Through genealogy, art, writing, memory, faith, and creative practice, I have come to understand that we are rarely walking alone.

This podcast is not simply about ancestry.

It is about companionship.

The quiet company of mothers, makers, labourers, believers, survivors, artists, and everyday people whose lives continue to echo forward through the ways we create, endure, nurture, and remember.

Each Wednesday, I will be opening the studio doors a little wider here at Studio Kre’at.

There will be things to listen to.

Things to read.

Things to see.

And my hope is that however you arrive here, you may find a gentle place of solace, reflection, and quiet company.

Today’s opening episode, A Place for You Here, is simply that ~ an invitation.

An invitation to arrive softly.

An invitation to remember.

And perhaps, an invitation to begin noticing the quiet company that has always been beside you too.
