Studio Kre’at Is A Creative Hermitage…

“The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear.”

That quote speaks into what this studio is becoming a most wonderful hermitage where silence and stillness shines with the simplest of rules:

1. Begin the day in stillness

Before the world enters the mind, pause.

  • light a candle

  • sit quietly

  • pray, contemplate and reflect

  • breathe in the new day

Even ten quiet minutes roots the day differently.

2. Tend the living world

  • watering plants

  • tending a garden

  • sitting beneath a tree

  • walking slowly outside around the garden

Creation itself becomes a form of prayer.

3. Create with the hands

Painting.

Stitching.

Drawing.

Writing letters.

Not for production.

Not for performance.

But because creativity itself is a conversation with God and the soul.

4. Welcome quiet connection

  • writing my letters

  • sharing my art (across many different genres)

  • offering gentle words online

This quiet life becomes a lamp others can see from afar.

5. Protect silence

Not all silence is empty.

Some silence is fertile.

Limiting noise, media, and endless information creates space where deeper thoughts and prayers can surface.

This is often where creativity begins.

6. End the day with gratitude, prayer, meditation

  • Where did grace appear today?

  • What small beauty was seen?

  • What quiet work was done?

Nothing dramatic.

Just awareness.

In becoming more still and silent my soil is allowing so much more creativity to grow.

And so the continued withdrawal from the world is not because I dislike humanity, but because I want to love and live within it more purely.

This studio solitude is becoming a kind of well of prayer and creativity that nourishes myself and as more of you come and gather around reading my thoughts/ musings and seeing my visual creativity I hope you too will find this way of life like I do.
